Old Growth Poetry Collective invites all youth and adults who love poetry, spoken word, and heart shattering vulnerability to the 2nd-Annual Olympia Poetry Grand Slam. On April 17, 2016 at Temple Beth Hatfiloh (201 8th Ave SE) eight poets who have withstood the heat of qualifying poetry slams at Old Growth’s weekly poetry show, Olympia People’s Mic will bring their best work, competing for the title of Olympia Poetry Grand Slam Champion and a spot on a team representing Olympia at the National Poetry Slam August 1-5 in Decatur, GA. Doors at 5:30. Show starts at 6:30. Tickets are available online for $10 ($7 students) at www.oldgrowthpoetrycollective.org or at the door for $15 ($12 students).
