More than 1,400 graduates will cross the stage as South Puget Sound Community College holds it 50th commencement ceremony June 19 at 6 p.m. on the grounds of the campus’ soccer field.

In 1965, the graduating class consisted of 38 students. This year, more than 1,100 associate degrees and 419 certificates will be awarded. 136 students have earned their high school diplomas, and another 170 have earned their GEDs.

Sociology Professor David Hyde will deliver the faculty address, and Merrill Williams will be the student speaker at the event.
