If you are a former patient, or family member of one, who would like to share your ideas about patient care and help to improve care at Providence Medical Group clinics, Providence St. Peter or Providence Centralia Hospital, the Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) might be for you.
Providence Swedish is recruiting new members for the PFAC. Formed in 2011, PFAC members influence and impact policies and practices that affect the care and services patients receive.
“Providence Swedish in South Puget Sound is committed to partnering with patients, families, and caregivers throughout the healthcare experience,” said Chief Executive Darin Goss. ““The Patient Family Advisory Council provides an invaluable perspective. Our mission is all about serving patients and families. With PFAC members serving on committees, the eyes of the patient are always with us.”
PFAC meets from noon to 2 p.m. the Fourth Wednesday of each month. All meetings are currently held in person and are available via video conferencing. Members who represent diversity with respect to culture, race, religion, age, sexual preference and socioeconomic and educational backgrounds are welcome.
