Beginning Monday, June 16, the City of Lacey’s (City) 2025 National Community Survey, in partnership with Polco, is open to anyone who lives within the Lacey city limits. The survey is available in English, Spanish, and Korean and closes on June 30.

The survey results will help determine future City priorities, including projects, programs, and services. The City intends to conduct this survey every two years to track changes in community needs and perceptions over time.

How to Participate

Starting June 16, residents who live within the Lacey city limits can access the online survey on the City’s website and Facebook page. Community members who prefer not to take the survey online can request a paper copy by calling 360.972.5434.

The City strongly encourages all residents to take the survey. “Community feedback plays a crucial role in shaping Council priorities,” says Mayor Andy Ryder. The more people who take the survey, the more accurate the data will be, so I’m counting on you to help us improve our city, together.”

Background

In mid-May, the City launched the 2025 National Community Survey in partnership with Polco. The survey consists of two parts: a sampled survey – designed to represent the Lacey population as accurately as possible, and an open participation survey – which invites all Lacey residents to share their perspectives.

The survey was developed by the National Research Center at Polco. It captures opinions on the economy, mobility, community design, utilities, safety, natural environment, inclusivity, engagement, and other elements of Lacey’s overall livability. Survey results will highlight Lacey’s strengths, areas of improvement, and what matters most to residents. The City will also be able to compare its performance to that of other communities across the country.

Polco is committed to a strict privacy policy, designed to keep participants’ responses confidential and protect personal data.
