The Thurston County Fair today introduced its 2025 mascot, Disco Dave the Peacock, and announced it is changing to a four-day event for 2025.

Each year, the Thurston County Fair introduces a new mascot, and for the 2025 fair, organizers are excited to introduce Disco Dave the Peacock! With his groovy style and vibrant plumage, Disco Dave will bring a funky energy to the fairgrounds, while embodying the fun and festive spirit of the event.

Organizers also announced this year’s fair will run from Thursday, July 31 through Sunday, August 3, 2025, an adjustment to four days primarily due to carnival ride availability, with each day featuring a special theme:

  • Thursday, July 31: Thrifty Thursday – $1 entry with a donation to the Thurston County Food Bank.
  • Friday, August 1: Wristband Friday – Carnival wristbands available for unlimited rides.
  • Saturday, August 2: First Responders and Military Service Day – $2 entry for those who serve our community (with valid ID).
  • Sunday, August 3: Youth Day – $2 entry for youth ages 6-14.

“We’re committed to delivering the same high-quality fair our community loves, just in a more condensed timeframe,” said Thomasina Cooper, Thurston County Fair and Event Center Manager. “We’re confident this four-day format will create an even more vibrant and engaging experience for everyone.”

The Thurston County Fair promises to pack all the fun and excitement county fairgoers have come to expect, offering a dynamic experience for attendees. Fairgoers can look forward to new and exciting entertainment, a wide variety of delicious food vendors, interactive exhibits, and of course, all the beloved animal exhibits. And keep an eye out for Disco Dave the Peacock, who will be making appearances throughout the fair!
