It’s time to put on a costume and get some free candy! I mean, it’s really one of the best things about Halloween after all. Dress up as Beetlejuice, Wednesday Addams or your favorite My Little Pony, then make your calendars for all the trick-or-treats and trunk-or-treats near Olympia. Here is where to trick-or-treat in Thurston County in 2024.

Rutledge Family Farm

The Rutledge Family Farm welcomes everyone to attend their Pizza, Pranks, Tricks & Treats 2024! There will be pizza, candy and drinks, along with tons of fun games, pinatas and lots of spooky fun. Yelm Eagles FOE

Kids of all ages can get dressed up and head to Yelm for a fun Halloween Party put on by the Yelm Eagles. There will be games, music, snacks and a costume contest! Awards for scariest, most creative and funniest. Kids must have an adult with them.

Two locations and a whole lot of fun at these trick-or-treat events in Olympia and Lacey. There will be vendors, music, food trucks and much more! Be sure to enter the raffles. They will be collecting new hygiene products for local families in need.

The First United Methodist Church of Olympia is having their Trunk or Treat on October 26. After trick-or-treating, stay for the food trucks, bounce house and games!

Main Street, Bucoda

We all know BOO-CODA is THE place to go during October for a large dose of Halloween fun! They have things going on all month, but on October 26, they have their free trunk-or-treat. October 26: 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Moore Design’s Trunk-or-Treat is happening again at Yelm Cinema. A fun trick-or-treat event in Yelm, they have room for 100+ cars, so sign up and get your car decked out in spooky fun. They have prizes for the best-decked-out car, including Best in Show, Top 10, Sponsor’s Choice and Kid’s Choice. Dash Plaques will be given to all participants with a vehicle. The event is free. The businesses within Steamboat Square are doing a trunk or treat on October 27! There will be lots of treats and mini projects with Board & Brush. Check with Board & Brush for exact times.

October 31, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
625 Black Lake Boulevard, Olympia

Capital Mall invites the whole family to come Trick-or-Treat on October 31! Participating businesses will have a sign displayed. Trick-or-treating at the mall is indoors. No full face masks or fake weapons.

October 31, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Downtown Olympia

Downtown Olympia has a week of fun, including a thrilling scavenger hunt at participating downtown businesses from Friday, October 25, to Wednesday, October 31! Grab your passport at the Love Oly website or participating businesses and explore for a chance to win. Visit at least 10 businesses to enter the regular drawing. Visit 20 businesses for two chances to win, including a shot at the grand prize—curated packages from local favorites!

On October 31, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m., join the fun on Washington Street (between Legion and 5th). Enjoy a DJ, dancing, a raffle from the scavenger hunt, a free Captain Little photo booth, Lolli Lama Candy surprises, and more! Also during that time, you can visit downtown shops offering treats for trick-or-treaters. For a list of participating merchants, visit LoveOly website.

October 31: 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
455 North Street SE, Tumwater

On Halloween night, you can trick-or-treat in Tumwater at the Masonic Trunk-or-Treat! They will have prizes for the cars that are all decked, and you can help choose the winners by voting before 6:30 p.m. They also collect cans, socks, cash, etc., for the Family Support Center.  They are still looking for people who want to decorate a trunk – cost is $5, which goes to the Family Support Center) – and hand out candy!
