Vivid Decay’ by Michael Johnston

Showing March 6 – April 28

Olympia photographer who gained access to the iconic Tumwater Brewery and takes stunning landscape photos. “Vivid Decay” is the artist’s attempt to bring Fine Art prints of modern ruins into a gallery setting. Using experiences during these exploration phases, to create art and begin the conversation of environmental catastrophes to a different audience. By using hyper-realistic colors, they separate the different contaminates and showcase years of cross contamination. They create and present images of the modern ruin as beautiful contemporary landscape images, creating an opportunity to begin the conversation on how to fix these situations to a new demographic.
