O’Blarney’s Irish Pub knows how to do St. Patrick’s Day right, with an entire week of fun, food and lots of great Celtic music. March 9 and 16 will be live music, March 12 will have a St. Patrick’s Day-themed costume contest and March 14 will have Irish trivia. Sandra, with an extensive background in storytelling, featured at festivals, teacher of the art of storytelling, and excellent performer of literary tales. After the featured tellers, Story Swap is an opportunity to share personal stories or folk tales of old. Free, although donations are appreciated. What better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than by attempting to catch a mischievous leprechaun? Kids can brainstorm with the Hands On Children’s Museum’s MakeSpace team to come up with creative ideas to lure in these tricky creatures with shiny objects and glittering gold. And with their imaginations in full swing, they can then use their crafting skills to construct an ingenious trap to try and capture one of these elusive beings.
