Experience Olympia & Beyond, on behalf of Washington State Senior Games, has announced details for the Washington State Senior Games, Summer 2023. The Washington State Senior Games, now in its 26th year, is the largest Olympic-style multi-sport event in Washington, gathering seniors from across the country to the South Puget Sound region to compete in a variety of events. This year’s games are running from June through August, offering a variety of sports events hosted in various Thurston County schools and sports centers. The 2023 Washington State Senior Games is made possible by the generosity of community sponsors.
The purpose of the Washington State Senior Games is to keep seniors healthy and productive with the mission to promote wellness and fitness throughout the year for people from 50 years of age to 100+ through participation, competition and education. Seniors of all ages are encouraged to exercise body and mind at this year’s events, open to both in-state and out-of-state participants.
Highlights for this year include:
- Track & Field | July 22 from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Soccer | July 29 – 30, varying times
- Pickleball | August 4 – 6, varying times
