Mason Transit Authority (MTA) has promoted Dan Sharp to operations coordinator, a position that includes community outreach and transit education.

Serving on the MTA team since 2019 as a driver, Sharp’s background includes over 35 years of experience in insurance, investigations and law enforcement.

Sharp will be the face of MTA and a liaison between the agency and the community. As a free resource to the community, Sharp is available to provide presentations to organizations on how to use Mason County’s free and vital services, including how to ride the bus and how to use Dial-A-Ride.

“Dan has been a phenomenal Mason Transit driver, even taking part in the new driver training process,” said Amy Asher, MTA general manager. “His past experience as a community outreach officer and knowledge of Mason Transit will make Dan the perfect fit for his new position.”

Community members and organizations are invited to schedule Sharp for presentations by contacting him at dsharp@masontransit.org.
