The Timberline High School football team defeated Kent-Meridian 57-6 Friday, September 10, 2021 in non-league play in preparation for league play starting this week. Junior quarterback Jackson Brown led the office including 46- and 72-yard touchdown passes. Sophomore Ramar Reid rushed for two touchdowns and Kaleb McNeely and Martin Aunese also scored rushing touchdowns as Timberline dominated play at South Sound Stadium.

Head Coach James Jones was excited about his team and his seniors. “We have 26 seniors who have worked hard and are ready to shine this year,” Jones remarked. “We have a good group of guys that lead like Jackson Brown, Adam Ahlf, Caleb Mcneely and Franco Segura,”

Timberline heads into 3A South Sound Conference play this week as they travel to league champion Yelm. The Tornadoes defeated a strong Mount Si team 41-20 and look to repeat as league champs.

In other local non-league  South Sound play, Tumwater defeated Captial 42-0 at Sid Otton Field in Tumwater. North Thurston lost 0-46 at Kelso and River Ridge fell to North Creek High School 12-34. Black Hills High School lost to Washington High School 24-42 and Rochester beat Seton Catholic High School 49-8.
