What pairs better than the pandemic ending and comedy to support our community’s youth? Community Youth Services in Olympia will host its 19th annual Have a Heart Breakfast for Kids on Thursday, April 1, 6 p.m.-6:30 p.m. It will be a short virtual event, light on everyone’s time for those already full on Zoom! Order breakfast for dinner to support three featured local restaurants: Don Juan’s Mexican KitchenShipwreck Café, and Park Side Café; settle in in your best pandemic breakfast attire, and enjoy local comedy. This event is CYS’ biggest fundraiser to help support its 20+ programs offering coordinated access to emergency shelter, housing, employment, education, behavioral health, and more.

Especially during the pandemic, this event celebrates youths’ resilience! For those who are used to an in-person event, this year’s event will be just as warm and upbeat. You’ll hear uplifting stories from our local youth who have changed their lives while working with CYS. With over 50 years in youth service, CYS has helped youth across Thurston County and Western Washington transition from homelessness to stable, thriving lives as young adults.

Your support is vital to the youth this year! Come hear their stories, laugh together, and (by donation), raise funds for a good cause, too. Especially during the pandemic, this event supports youths’ resilience! All are welcome – dress up, but it’s casual and your “heart” is what matters most! Thank you in advance for your support.
