Meet Gus! He is a 27-pound, 3-year-old, Schnauzer/Shih-Tzu mix. Gus is a volunteer favorite, and some call him “Gus-Gus.” He is a smart and friendly boy, who has limits to stimulation. He is regularly active, loves to play with toys, and chilling on the couch.

Gus is going to need some work and a strong leader to help him establish boundaries. This semi-socialized boy can and does “throw angry tantrums” when he does not get his own way. While cats and kids are unknown, they are not recommended. Gus is highly food possessive and does not like to share toys. He has not done well with other dogs in general. This boy is looking to rule the castles with his person(s) and no other critters to bother the throne. He may be quiet and reserved upon first meet, but don’t let that fool you, he a pistol and firecracker waiting to light up the party. Fenced yard is required for this good boy.

Adopt-A-Pet has many great dogs and always need volunteers. To see all our current dogs, visit the Adopt-A-Pet website, our Facebook page or at the shelter on Jensen Road in Shelton. For more information, email thedoghouse3091@hotmail.com or call 360-432-3091.
