Due to the COVID-19 crisis, many organizations need to build robust emergency response plans, develop creative virtual community engagement opportunities and identify and implement program needs and changes, especially as demands for technology increase.

AmeriCorps VISTA members can help to build an organization’s capacity to accomplish new projects while pursuing the larger goal of fighting poverty.

The Greater South Sound VISTA team, managed by United Way of Thurston County, encourages public, nonprofit, and tribal organizations in Thurston, Pierce, Mason, Lewis, Grays Harbor, Clallam and Jefferson Counties (their Greater South Sound VISTA region) to apply to become a VISTA host site.
