Submitted by Washington State Department of Transportation

Evening and overnight travelers who use the State Route 510/Marvin Road on-ramps to Interstate 5 are advised to plan for extra travel time the week of October 14.

Monday, October 14 through Friday, October 18

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close the Marvin Road (SR 510) on-ramp to northbound I-5 each night from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. each following day.

During the overnight hours of Thursday, Oct. 17 and Friday, Oct. 18, crews will close the Marvin Road on-ramp to southbound I-5 each night from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. each following day.

The closures allow crews to install lighting and ramp meter infrastructure, and install temporary paving along the shoulder of the ramps.

Some of the work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled. During the overnight closures, drivers will follow signed detours.

This work is part of the project to upgrade the existing overpass into a diverging diamond interchange.

All users of the overpass are encouraged to sign up for project updates.
