The Thurston Economic Development Council (Thurston EDC), together with the City of Lacey and Saint Martin’s University, is pleased to announce the grand opening of the Lacey MakerSpace.
The Lacey MakerSpace (LMS) is a community workshop and space that provides access to fabrication tools and learning, allowing makers to design, collaborate and produce creative projects. Through hands-on training combining the latest computerized fabrication machines and traditional tools, LMS makers have the opportunity to gain skills in 3D design, laser cutting & engraving, CNC machines, woodworking, and more. This mingling of talented makers and inquisitive patrons across a spectrum of materials and interests inspires exploration, blending the practical and artistic to take their innovative ideas from conception to reality.
The Grand Opening is an opportunity for community members to take guided tours of the space and see live demonstrations of the equipment. Hosts will offer do-it-yourself personalized creations, as well as raffles, door prizes, booths from local partners and discounts for future memberships and classes. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided by Bon Appetite.

We work to maintain the health of local businesses by offering technical assistance, and providing advocacy on their behalf. We present market opportunities to Thurston County employers, providing support for them to expand their operations. We actively attract investment and employment opportunities into our region through outreach, promotion and trade missions.
