During the night of Monday, May 13, northbound and southbound Interstate 5 approaching Marvin Road in Lacey will be reduced to a single lane in each direction. That single lane will be directed through the Marvin Road interchange. Law enforcement will be at each intersection to direct traffic.
Late night and early morning drivers are encouraged to add additional travel time to help prevent delays.
9:00 p.m. Monday, May 13
- Lane closures begin on southbound and northbound I-5.
- Marvin Road overpass will have one lane in each direction.
11:59 p.m. Monday, May 13
- Both directions of I-5 will reduce to one single lane. Traffic will be directed through the Marvin Road interchange.
5:00 a.m. Tuesday, May, 14 – All lanes on I-5 and Marvin Road will reopen.
The night lane closures will allow crews to set bridge girders that will be the backbone for the expanded diverging diamond interchange.
