During April, the City of Lacey invites its water customers to participate in the National Mayors’ Challenge for Water Conservation. The friendly competition encourages residents to help their city become the most “water-wise” community. Residents can take part in the challenge by signing a water-conservation pledge at mywaterpledge.com.
“By participating in programs such as the National Mayors’ Challenge for Water Conservation, we’re helping preserve Lacey’s important water resources,” said Mayor Andy Ryder. “I encourage residents to join me and the rest of the City Councilmembers by taking part in the challenge.”
Participants from winning cities can win great prizes including the $3,000 grand prize that goes toward paying your utility bills. All participants will be entered in the daily prize drawings that include items such as wireless weather sensors, home improvement store gift cards, and more! You can also enter your favorite charity into a drawing for a 2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid.
The Wyland Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, protecting, and preserving water resources, sponsors the 8th National Mayors’ Challenge for Water Conservation.
