Two very different awards. Two very different winners. One repeated theme: core values. SCJ Alliance’s highest honors are the annual SCJ Cares Award and the Entrepreneurial Award. The nominations for this year’s winners highlight SCJ’s commitment to these ideals, in both cases praising the winners for their commitment to the company’s core values.
Alissa North, SCJ’s lead project coordinator, earned the esteemed SCJ Cares Award recognizing employee service. She was recognized for working tirelessly, going above and beyond, and truly striving to make our community a better place. Her colleagues noted her trustworthiness, positive and fun personality, and listening ear and continual efforts to help in any way possible no matter what the situation is. One nominator noted, “She cares about SCJ and it is clear in her dedication to everyone and everything here.”
Alissa’s commitment to service extends past the company walls. Another nomination said, “Apart from the office, Alissa and her husband are constantly serving others, whether it’s donation of services, helping someone move, or organizing support for friends and colleagues. Alissa North cares deeply and selflessly for her coworkers, friends, and community.”
Charity Duffy, a senior planner in SCJ’s Wenatchee office, earned the Entrepreneurial Award, recognizing her attitude and approach to thinking that embraces critical questioning, innovation, service and continuous improvement, particularly as she serves clients. One nominator said, “Charity Duffy is an amazing collaborator, a true representative of our core values, and a standout when serving our clients.”
SCJ President and CEO Jean Carr added, “Alissa and Charity embrace our core values of stewardship, freedom, compassion, trust, and integrity that guide SCJ’s relationships – both with clients and colleagues. They are tremendous examples of these qualities.”
