Do you hear that sound? That sound of passionate screaming? Of ridiculous jeers and cheers? Or the sound of gulping, chewing and crunching? That sound isn’t in your head, it’s over at O’Blarney’s Irish Pub in Olympia. It’s the sound of 170 fans rooting for the Seattle Seahawks and other teams right now as the 2018 NFL season is underway!
The season kicked off on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, when the defending Super Bowl champions the Philadelphia Eagles hosted the high-flying offense of the Atlanta Falcons. The season is off to an interesting start, and with 18 TVs, you and 169 fellow football aficionados can enjoy all of the NFL action. EVERY single game on any given Sunday will be shown. Especially our hometown NFC power, the Seattle Seahawks! If you’re not a fan of Seattle, that’s okay (we guess). If you are from New England, you’ll be able to catch the dynastic New England Patriots while enjoying our delicious clam chowder. If you are from north Florida, you’ll be able to watch the up and coming AFC powerhouse, the Jacksonville Jaguars while beefing up (like their defense) on our classic burger, The Big Blarney. Green Bay fans will be able to catch Seattle’s longstanding nemesis, the Aaron Rodgers-led Green Bay Packers and feel like a cheesehead with our mozzarella sticks. And even if you’re from St. Louis, you can catch the St. Louis Rams while having Budweiser, which is always available on NFL days/nights with the special price of just $3.75. Psyche! The Rams no longer play in St. Louis, but you can still catch them (and have our beers) along with Philly, Minnesota, and Green Bay, as they are looking to be the teams to beat in the NFC.
Of course, New England is looking like the team that will come out of the AFC. Maybe that might change this year with Jacksonville coming into their own. While the road might be tough for most teams, you’ll have the chance to cheer them on with not just your family and friends, but celebrities who know a thing or two about the game! This year, we will have former NFL players and relatives of former players come by to help celebrate the game of football! This will even include a man or two who’ve helped Seattle become the successful franchise that we all know and love.
And, hey, it’s not just the NFL season that you’ll have a chance to catch fantastic football at O’Blarney’s. Surely, you didn’t think we’d forget about those crucial games that come in January and February, did you? We’ll be showing the entire NFL playoffs LIVE in January at our Olympia location. We’ll also broadcast the Pro Bowl, and throw the biggest party of all, for the biggest bowl of all, Super Bowl LIII (that’s 53 in Roman numerals, and the location of the game will be Atlanta, for folks keeping tabs) on Feb. 3, 2019.
