In honor of the City of Lacey’s 50th Anniversary of incorporation, Lacey Rotary presented Historic Business Awards to nine Lacey enterprises Thursday, October 20. Each business, established in Lacey more than 50 years ago, still operates in the area today. The honorees include Capital Development Company, Harold’s Appliance, Martin Way Mobile Home and RV Park, Capital Club Apartments, Diamond Head Apartments, Lacey Shoe Repair, and Kluh’s Jewelers.

Mayor Andy Ryder presented the awards and stated “Lacey was incorporated in 1966 because residents and businesses resolved to work together to preserve our community’s distinct values. We continue to respect the importance of commerce and understand the challenges facing businesses today.  I am very pleased to honor these companies for their longevity and success in Lacey.”

Lacey Rotary continues to accept applications for the Historic Business Awards through December 2016. For more information, please contact Mary Coppin, Community Liaison, 360-491-3214.
