Olympia country group The Olson Bros Band started on the road to success at Lakefair Battle of the Bands 2013. After winning the Texaco Country Showdown contest with their song “Sunrise,” they had the chance to go to Nashville to meet with some of the greatest country songwriters. Since then, they’ve been playing shows around the Pacific Northwest, as well as a few in Tennessee, including opening for Adam Craig at Four Square Mile Festival this past July.
Luke Olson started making music in his early years, playing around on Garageband. He later picked up guitar and learned some country songs. From there, he began to write his own music. Luke was joined by his brother, Isaac, and the duo teamed up to write music together. They added Milo Mullins on bass and Seth Bowman on drums to round out the band.
The Olson Bros Band currently has one album out, Sunrise, and are working on a new EP. “[I’m most proud of] ‘She Don’t Mind,’ which will be on our next EP,” Luke said.

Their favorite musicians include Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt, Darius Rucker, Zac Brown, Jason Aldean, and Blake Shelton. They also enjoy AC/DC, Lil’ Jon, and Elton John.
Currently, the band is working on recording new music, booking bigger shows, and building their fan base. When they’re not writing music, the brothers enjoy spending time with their family and friends, working out, playing basketball, and also playing Pokemon Go.
Their goal? To make good music and have fun. And now that they’ve played dozens of shows, they seem to be doing pretty good.“Now that we play more often, we are more prepared. We know more songs and we are comfortable on stage. We are better musicians, so it’s more fun for us and the people watching,” Isaac said.

One of the biggest challenges as a band is being able to do what they love while also making enough money to support themselves. However, it’s worth it, especially when you get to share your music live. Luke and Isaac agreed that sharing their music with people and connecting with their fans is the best part about performing live.
