More than 80 members of the Thurston County REALTORS® Association (TCAR) volunteered for two projects in Thurston County as part of their annual Community Service Day on Thursday May 26, 2016.

The Realtors painted over graffiti on walls to help beautify downtown Olympia and support local businesses in cooperation with the Olympia Downtown Association (ODA).  Another crew of Realtor Association volunteers cleaned up the historic Mima Prairie Pioneer Cemetery. This is the fifth year that Realtors have provided maintenance for the cemetery that marks the graves of many early settlers to the area.

Realtors began work at both locations at approximately 8:30 a.m. on May 26 and continued their work throughout the morning until about 11:00 a.m.

Sponsors for the day are: HomeStreet Bank, Thurston County Title, Ronelle Funk Allstate Insurance, Olympia Federal Savings and Rob Rice Homes.

The Thurston County REALTORS® Association’s nearly 600 REALTOR® members provide professional real estate services to buyers and sellers and have been committed to protecting property owners’ rights, contributing to our communities and preserving our quality of life in Thurston County for more than 90 years.
