Longtime Thurston County resident David Workman is the author of a new book paying tribute to “good and decent people who stand up for a child when they don’t have to—when they have nothing to gain and perhaps much to lose.”
Letter from Alabama is the surprising, and true, story of strangers and others who saved a child and changed a family forever. It’s dedicated to “those who see the potential in a young person and give that person a chance to be the best that he or she can be.”
Workman is a former journalist and former communications director for several Washington State agencies. He is a community volunteer in our area. For information on the new book, see the Letter from Alabama Facebook page. The author and his family have lived in the area for 34 years.
