Boys and Girls with All Star FordAs part of its commitment that no child should go hungry, especially as the holidays approach, Ford Motor Company Fund is donating $77,500 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Washington, Oregon, northern Idaho, Montana and Alaska.

Sixty-four clubs across the five-state region are receiving Ford Fund grants ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 as part of the Ford Focus on Hunger campaign. This donation will expand the previously launched Ford Focus on Child Hunger campaign and increase the number of children who benefit from this hunger initiative.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County is receiving $2000. Half of the grant is coming from Ford Fund and the other half from All Star Ford.

“As many families prepare for holiday celebrations, others are struggling simply to keep food on the table,” said Jim Vella, president, Ford Motor Company Fund. “Today’s donation is one more step to support families and children who face food insecurity.”

“We are honored to support an organization that is such a huge asset to our communities kids and families” Kevin Neiswanger, All Star Ford.

“We are thrilled that Ford has decided to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County.  We serve a high number of low-income youth, and that number has greatly increased in the past several years. Last year we served over 150,000 healthy snacks and meals—this grant will be a great supplement to our snack program,” shares Joe Ingoglia, CEO.

Ford Fund has donated nearly $420,000 to Boys and Girls Clubs across the country in the past five years alone.
