Playing in the Great Northwestern Athletic Conference, the Saint Martin’s University women’s soccer team is no stranger to competing against top-level teams throughout the year.
The Saints became familiar with one of the nation’s top Division II teams in the country when #2 ranked Western Washington University traveled to the Saint Martin’s campus Thursday for an afternoon match-up.
The Vikings lived up to their high national ranking in a 3-1 victory over SMU, who fell to 3-9 on the season with the loss. Saint Martin’s will host Simon Fraser on Saturday, Oct. 19, beginning at 1 p.m. Look for a story on both the Saints men’s and women’s soccer teams soon.
