Following three decades of strong partnership with Heritage Bank, South Puget Sound Community College has announced a new partnership that is even stronger, with the bank taking advantage of a naming opportunity offered by South Puget Sound.

South Puget Sound Community College announced the renaming of its Center for Corporate Training, now the Heritage Bank Center for Corporate Training.

“Heritage Bank has long been a supporter of SPSCC,” College President Timothy Stokes said. “Today we are honored to announce their commitment to our college and the greater community. By providing the naming gift for the Center for Corporate Education, Heritage Bank is ensuring we continue to have a high quality workforce in the region, and that business and industry can turn to the college for high quality training, support, and business consulting.”

The Heritage Bank Center for Corporate Training provides certificate training programs like Business Analysis, Project Management, Leadership Development and more. Currently located at the College’s Hawks Prairie Center, the Center for Corporate Training serves nearly 2,000 students. It is scheduled to move into the new Lacey Campus when that opens in 2015.

“Heritage Bank is thrilled and honored to partner with South Puget Sound Community College in promoting higher education and creating future leaders,” Senior Vice President of Retail Banking and Marketing Director Cindy Huntley said. “Having career development opportunities for individuals and training resources for businesses is key in the progression of our region’s economic vitality. We take extensive pride in strategic partnerships such as this, illustrating the importance of giving back to the communities we serve.”

Heritage Bank operates a full-service commercial bank with forty-two banking offices in Washington and Oregon.
