This racing weekend will be one you do not want to miss at Grays Harbor Raceway. On Friday July 12th and Saturday the 13th the 3/8-mile clay oval will host the American Sprint Car Series-National Tour and Northwest Wingless Tour on both nights. On the morning/early afternoon of Saturday the 13th there will plenty of things to do at the track before racing begins.
From 7:00-11:00 AM a Pancake Feed will occur at the Borden-Seabert Exhibition Building. Cost is $6.00 per person or $18.00 for a family of four. The feast will be conducted by the District 5 Firefighters Association and funds raised will go towards their scholarship fund.
At 1:00 PM Rob and Tracey from Tracey’s Jewelry will be hosting an Ice Cream Social on the main stairs outside of GHR. All donations made will go to the Big Al Kids & Motorsports Foundation. The mission of this foundation is to provide motorsports trips and racing opportunities for kids battling life threatening conditions and illnesses.
Pit gates open at 2:30, front gates, 4:30, and racing starting at 6:30.Tickets prices for both days are $23.00 for Adults, $20.00 for Seniors/Juniors (13-18)/Military, $10.00 for Youths (6-12), and Children 5 and Under are FREE. Premium Seats are $30.00 and Family Passes (Two Adults and Up To Four Youths) are $55.00. Two day passes will be offered for Adults ($42.00), Seniors/Juniors/Military ($38.00), Youths ($18.00), or spectators wishing to sit in Premium Seats ($55.00).
The Grays Harbor Raceway is known for its high speeds and side by side racing as well as its large track size. Hosting racing action from April to October regular classes include 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, USAC Ford Focus Midgets, Street Stocks, Hornets, and for the first time the Northwest Extreme Winged Sprint Cars.
