olympia red lion hotelCentrally located at 2300 Evergreen Park Drive SW, the Olympia Red Lion hotel offers panoramic views only minutes from downtown.  Featured as the annual host of Providence Hospital’s Christmas Forest, an exquisite charity event featuring dozens of locally sponsored and decorated trees, the Red Lion is well known in the holiday season.

On a twelve acre bluff, the hotel is a beautifully wooded and peaceful property with 192 rooms, a 16,500 square foot meeting space, and banquet facilities for up to 700 guests.  Guests are greeted with an available business center, fitness space, and seasonal pool and hot tub.  The rooms have been outfitted with a new bedding package, new credenzas, flat screen TV’s, microwaves and refrigerators.  At 300+ square feet each, guest rooms are spacious enough for any need, with pets welcome for a small fee.

Dining options are provided by the West Water View Restaurant and Lounge which overlooks Capitol Lake.  Seasonal ingredients are featured in their catering, room service, and lounge offerings.  The ‘Roaring Start Breakfast Buffet’ is available seven days a week and children ten and under eat free with each adult.  Full menus are available on the hotels website (www.redlion.com).

olympia red lion hotelThroughout the year, the Red Lion hosts special brunches on Mother’s Day, Easter, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.  Their annual New Year’s Eve Party sells out the hotel every year, and is a longstanding local tradition.  Halloween features a massive costume contest with a $1000 cash prize!  Last year 350 people were attended the public event.

Privately, the hotel can be reserved for military balls, weddings, graduation parties, and all manner of events.  Even a ‘staycation’ getaway can be arranged; what better way to escape, only minutes from home?  Unlike other hotels, the Red Lion also offers exhibit space for rent, with optional audiovisual equipment to enhance any presentation.

Recent reviews of the hotel illustrate its sense of pride and community: “Very quiet during my weekend escape. Service from the staff was wonderful!” and “The staff were friendly and helpful without a trace of the forced, expressionless politeness I’ve found at other hotels. Nice restaurant. Close enough to expressway to be convenient, far enough so that you don’t hear traffic noise…When I stayed I just needed a place to stop over during a snowstorm, so I was hoping for a basic, decent place — Red Lion on Evergreen Park Drive far exceeded my hopes and expectations.”
