Each Sunday, we write a post recapping favorite articles.  This week, I want to draw your attention to some amazing teens.  These are middle school and high school kids that are doing fantastic things for our community.  Look at the variety of these articles – we’re talking about artists, musicians, and athletes.  Enjoy the read!

North Thurston Graphic Novelists Sign First Editions

On Wednesday, Olympic Cards & Comics hosted a reception for six North Thurston Public School students.  These kids had entered a graphic novel contest hosted by Lacey Loves to Read.  The winning prize was 100 printed copies of their novel.

Olympia Youth Chorus Singing Loud

Another group of talented students is involved with the Olympia Youth Chorus.  This article focuses on the organization but also highlights the new boys choir.  You can hear the group in action on Saturday, March 23 at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts.

Tenino High School Baseball Team Motivated by Last Season’s Playoffs

Last season, the Tenino Beavers fell in the district tournament.  The team’s frustration over not making it further in the playoffs has kickstarted their season.  These boys are fired up and ready to play ball.
