I readily admit to being a Survivor fan since the reality television show’s inception.  When I heard that two-time winner Sandra Diaz-Twine and contestant Michael Jefferson would be visiting Thurston County, I jumped for joy.  Diaz-Twine is the show’s only two-time winner and Jefferson lives in Seattle.

On November 17, the Lacey Chamber of Commerce will host their annual benefit auction, at the Thurston County Fairgrounds, featuring Diaz-Twine and Jefferson as celebrity guests.

The shipwreck-themed auction event is the perfect setting for the Survivor celebrities, having spent many days on tropical islands during their respective competitions.

“The Survivor celebrities will be mingling with guests and taking photos,” explains Lacey Chamber Executive Director, Tony Salas.

Salas adds that a special table is available for purchase.  “Three couples have an opportunity, for an additional donation to the Lacey Chamber, to enjoy champagne and dinner with the Survivor celebrities,” he notes.

A wide range of items are available to bid on including gift baskets, staycations, trips and interesting autographed photos.  All proceeds support the operation of the Lacey Chamber of Commerce as well as the Kidwiler Scholarship Foundation which provides scholarships for North Thurston Public School graduating seniors.
