The calendar inches closer to Labor Day.  And, as we check off days in August, my mind starts to wrap around the reality of returning to a ‘routine’ with school bell schedules, extracurricular activities, and the inevitable Saturday soccer game in the rain.

But, for now, with glorious weather in the forecast, I am simply going to ignore the tasks required to get ready for back to school and sip a cool drink on the back deck while the kids run freely.

I believe, in case anyone cares, that the East Bay Public Plaza is going to quickly become a favorite gathering place for people of all ages.  Kids can wade in the stream, art lovers can enjoy beautiful mosaics, and treasure hunters can locate hidden objects throughout the space.  Enjoy a picnic lunch and a delightful view.
