This week Isaacson & Company is mobilizing equipment at 1218 West Bay Drive NW, to begin demolition and removal of structures. The crane and crane tracks, the burned building and the building to the south of it will be removed and possibly the building to the north of the burned building. The demolition may continue to mid- or late September. Isaacson will have a guard on duty 24/7 for security. Measures to protect the waters of Budd Inlet will be in place and a zodiac boat will be in the water to capture any debris that may break through.

PERMITS AND APPROVALS

Permits and approvals have been received from the City of Olympia, Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Olympic Region Clean Air Agency. In addition, the Department of Natural Resources has been advised, and the Department of Ecology has reviewed the proposal. Since soils are contaminated there is a stipulation from Ecology that structural elements in the ground will not be removed and surface soils will be disturbed as little as possible. All agencies will be involved throughout the demolition process and the final cleanup.

OWNER OF RECORD
