Olympia Youth Chorus
Olympia Youth Chorus (OYC) is currently holding auditions for the 2011-2012 performance season. OYC is a nonprofit, vocal music program. It serves singers in K-12 throughout the greater South Sound community, including Thurston, Gray Harbor and Lewis counties.
Annually about 150 girls and boys (with unchanged voices) participate. Singers are from public and private schools, as well as home-schooled. In addition to local performances, OYC choirs have performed in England, Hawaii, San Francisco and New York’s Lincoln Center. Over 900 singers have participated in the program over the last 16 years.
