HARRISON AVENUE/MUD BAY ROAD PAVING – OCTOBER 13th TO OCTOBER 15th
· Harrison Avenue (formerly Mud Bay Road) and Kaiser Road will be impacted by paving and temporary striping as part of the Harrison Avenue Corridor Improvements project.
· Work will occur October 13th to October 15th, between 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; weather permitting.
TRAFFIC IMPACTS
· Expect traffic delays during paving. Traffic will be flagged through the construction area with intermittent one-lane traffic. To reduce traffic impacts during paving, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid the construction area.
· Harrison Avenue and Kaiser Road will be open to two-way traffic in the evenings.
· Flaggers will assist motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians through the construction area.
· Driveway access to businesses will remain open. However, there will be grade transitions in the center lanes that require traffic to slow.
· Upon completion of this phase of paving, all traffic will travel in the “outside” lanes adjacent to the curb. The contractor will continue with construction activities in the middle lanes.
· Olympia Police and Fire vehicles will have access through the project at all times.
