The Tumwater community has an opportunity to learn from one another. The cost of housing, healthcare, cooling and heating, transportation, food, and utilities are all rising. Each of these concerns is connected to human-caused changes in our global weather patterns. It’s a big issue, but the effects are here in Tumwater.

Please come to our community assembly and discuss the ideas and concerns you have for communities who live, work and play in the City of Tumwater.

Thurston Climate Action Team and City of Tumwater are teaming up to provide a gathering for people who live, work, and play in Tumwater. Community members will have a space to express their hopes, dreams, fears, and needs. People will have an opportunity to ask questions, brainstorm, and envision solutions that meet their needs, and the needs of their Tumwater community.

At this community-led planning session we will:
● Develop comments and recommendations for local government to suggest ways that they can help address the real needs of people in Tumwater.
● Connect and find common ground with community members, groups and organizations.
