Tumwater library hosts workshop on making your own
nontoxic cleaners and personal products
Make your own nontoxic cleaners and start your summer with a clean house. Join author and DIY expert Raleigh Briggs for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the basics of creating natural, nontoxic cleaners for your home, body, and pets. The event will be at the Tumwater Timberland Library on Saturday, June 16 from 2 to 4 p.m.
By the end of the class, participants will have products to take home and start using right away. Supplies are included. The class is free but registration is required. Call the Tumwater library at (360) 943-7790 and ask for the information desk.
Briggs is the creator of the Nontoxic Housecleaners Zine. Her most recent book is Make Your Place: Affordable, Sustainable Nesting Skills. Books will be available for purchase. The workshop is the first event of the library’s summer reading program for adults.
The Tumwater Timberland Library is located at 7023 New Market Street. For more information, contact the library or go to www.TRL.org.
