The Timberline High School Theatre will present The Wizard of Oz for five days of performances, May 10th, 11th and 16th, 17th and 18th. Shows are at 7:00pm and will be staged in the school’s theatre located on the Timberline High School Campus, 6120 Mullen Rd SE, Lacey, WA 98503. Tickets are $7 & $10 per person.

This iconic story begins when a tornado rips through Kansas, whisking away Dorothy and her dog, Toto, in their house to the magical land of Oz. They encounter an enraged witch, the Wicked Witch of the West, who menaces the two for being responsible for the death of her sister. Shortly after, the two main characters meet Glinda, the good witch of the north , who befriends and guides them through the land of Oz on a mission to find their way home. Dorothy and Toto follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard , and as they journey they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. The wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West to earn his help.

Director by Robin Tuckett is joined by a very talented team including Musical Direction by Terry Shaw, Choreography by Megan Temple, and Technical Direction by Jeremiah Tuckett. The costuming and set design for this show create an atmosphere of wonder and enchantment. The main characters teach the value of friends and self-determination, regardless of the obstacles in their way. Featured in the cast are Micaela Byington as Dorothy Gale, Amy Olson as Miss Almira Gulch/the Wicked Witch of the West, Lauryn White as Glinda (the Good Witch of the North), Steven Danielson as Scarecrow, Michael Beckett as Tin Man, Eli Ho as Lion, Analisa Allen as Emerald City Guard, and MJ Dizon as the Wizard.

Tickets will be available 45 minutes before each show at the door.
