Traditions Fair Trade and LTD Presents bring you Delmark (Chicago) Recording artist “The Tad Robinson Band featuring Alex Schultz” on Wednesday evening the 29th of April at Traditions in Olympia. Traditions has been featuring great music in the shadow of the Washington state capitol building for over 25 years. This show promises to be a highlight among all these great shows!
This is the Olympia debut for this internationally acclaimed, award-winning band! Tad & Alex are childhood friends from New York City who have both gone on to greatness in the world of Blues and Soul music. They have worked together in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and toured all over the world, packing venues and impressing fans and critics alike.
Robinson has 10 Blues Music Award (BMA-the “Grammys” of the blues) nominations to his credit. His 2025 Delmark release “Soul in Blue” has received universally glowing reviews and will no doubt result in additional awards! Considered among the best blues/soul singers, songwriters and harmonica players of his generation…Tad Robinson is the consummate professional.
Alex Schultz has both won and been nominated for multiple BMAs as well. Notably, Alex was the long-time lead guitar player for former “Band of the Year” winners Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers from Los Angeles. He now calls Germany home where he tours with Europe’s top blues players almost constantly. A true master “the guitar czar” will leave you wanting more!
Joining the lifelong collaborators on stage will be an outstanding band featuring renowned keyboardist Lorenzo Farrell who tours the world with 2025 Blues Foundation “Band of the Year” Rick Estrin & the Nightcats. The rhythm section is also top notch, featuring Pacific Northwest stars David Hudson on drums and Brady Kish on bass. Together, this band will fill the wonderful room at Traditions with blues and soul that has not yet been heard in Olympia! This is the first Olympia and Traditions show for LTD Presents.
