St. John’s Episcopal Church presents Susan Bloomfield-Spangler for the final organ concert in this year’s season celebrating the completion of the Schlicker organ on Saturday, June 3 at 3pm. Bloomfield-Spangler will be presenting a concert of organ music by queer and female composers such as Dame Ethel Smyth, Samuel Barber, Gian Carlo Menotti, and Florence B. Price.
Suggested donation is $20 and all proceeds benefit the music program at St. John’s.
Bloomfield-Spangler is a multi-faceted musician with talents as organist, pianist, vocalist, choral director, teacher and currently serves as the Director of Music at St. John’s.
Susan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organ Performance with an emphasis in Choral Conducting from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master’s Degree in Music History from Western Washington University. Additionally, Susan is trained in the application of cross-cultural music and healing through the Open Ear Center.
