SLURP – Shellfish Lovers Ultimate Rejuvenation Party

The Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers Association is hosting our 19th annual Shellfish Lovers Ultimate Rejuvenation Party (SLURP)! You are invited to join us for South Puget Sound’s most anticipated shellfish event. This sell-out event gathers community, restaurants, breweries and wineries to celebrate the importance of a healthy marine ecosystem.

Water quality is crucial to the shellfish industry – and we don’t just talk the talk. We proudly return 100% of SLURP proceeds right back into our community to benefit shellfish habitat restoration, outreach and education, and clean water efforts. We understand the importance of a healthy marine ecosystem, and we are eager to share the benefits of this event with our community.

Restaurants prepare their favorite shellfish dishes for guests using fresh off the beach product donated by local shellfish farms. Restaurant chefs will vie for top honors of the coveted Xinh Dwelley Culinary Distinction Award.

Fish Tale Brewery serves up a variety of their best-selling ales alongside an assortment of Washington’s award-winning wines. Guests are encouraged to cheer on local personalities as they compete in our annual SLURP-Off, an oyster speed-shucking and slurping contest. To top it off, guests are invited to indulge themselves at the Grand Oyster Bar where they can slurp down a bevy of briny bivalves from local oyster farms. All this, plus live music and a live auction!
