The Greatest Breakup Letter in History: The Declaration of Independence

Presented by Art Dolan of the Sons of the American Revolution, this fast-paced program will summarize the events leading up to the Declaration of Independence as well as inspirational quotes from the forgotten founding father who inspired the Declaration.

Art is a retired science teacher who’s lived in Olympia since 2005. His involvement with Sons of the American Revolution began when he discovered that one of his ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War. This talk will be the introduction to a month-long celebration of America250 here at the Schmidt House.

Attendance is free. Talk begins at noon; doors open at 11:30 AM. First come, first seated until room capacity is reached.
