Prevention Night: Emerging Risks Facing Youth; Social Media, Substances, and What Parents and Communities Can Do

Join us for a free community event focused on helping parents, caregivers, and community members better understand and respond to the current risks facing youth today. This informative evening will cover topics such as social media and device use, cyberbullying, sexting, online harm, emerging substance trends, and practical strategies for communication, boundaries, and prevention. Participants will also learn warning signs to watch for and how to have supportive, effective conversations with young people.

Featured speakers include Dr. Sameer Hinduja and Jermaine Galloway (“Tall Cop”), nationally recognized experts on youth online safety and substance prevention. The event is free and open to all Thurston County community members.
