OysterFest 2026

The West Coast Oyster Shucking Championship and Washington State Seafood Festival, known as “OysterFest” is held annually the first weekend in October. Since 1982 Shelton Skookum Rotary Club has hosted this unique event that assists local nonprofits who participate as food vendors to raise funds. Additionally, it promotes the local shellfish industry, water quality, shoreline management and other aquaculture topics.
Other Rotary clubs are involved as well. Shelton Rotary Club hosts a 21 and older pre-function Friday night on October 2nd from 6-10. Known as OysterFunk there is live music by Stir Crazy, food and microbrews.
Salish Sea Rotary Club hosts the Salish Sea Wine Pavilion and North Mason Rotary club serves as a food vendor during OysterFest.

Attendees will enjoy Oyster speed shucking and half shell competitions, live music, food, microbrews, wine tasting, family activities, community, and marine exhibits. RV and dry camping are available on site.
All proceeds benefit non-profit community services in Mason County.

When: Saturday October 3rd 10 am -6 pm
Sunday October 4th 10 am – 5pm

Admission: General admission is 15.00, children 17 and under are free
