Port of Olympia brings you FREE waterfront drive-in movies

Join us Friday nights, August 14 and August 21, at the Port of Olympia’s NorthPoint.

OLYMPIA –  The Port of Olympia, with the support of valued community partners, will host the first-ever drive-in theater at NorthPoint.

The FREE, family-friendly program will take place on both Friday, August 14, and Friday, August 21 at the Swantown Marina Boat Launch Parking Lot located at the Port’s NorthPoint (next to Anthony’s Hearthfire Grill and KGY radio station).

The program has been designed to reflect current public health and safety measures in response to COVID-19, and fully complies with Governor Inslee’s “Safe Start” Phased Reopening Plan Phase II guidance for drive-in theaters.

“We are excited to bring the community opportunities to safely recreate with their families,” said Port of Olympia Executive Director Sam Gibboney. “Our hope is to deliver a quality public access experience at the Port, and to hopefully restore a small sense of normalcy for our guests. We look forward to making this a Port of Olympia waterfront tradition in the coming years.”
