On Saturday evening January 21st from 5:00-8:00 PM at InGenius! Local Artisan Gallery & Boutique in Yelm, enjoy an extensive exhibit of Ian’s Ricker’s artwork.
This award-winning artist has a special gift. Working primarily in oil for the past few years, Ian has an incredible eye for detail. Although primarily self-taught, he studied for three years at the University of Alaska at Anchorage. His work has been shown in the company of such greats as Fred Machetanz, John Picture, Byron Birdsall, Jon Van Zyle, Bill Ray, and Gary Lion. Ian’s work has won numerous awards at the South West Washington State Fair and the 5 People’s Choice Awards at the Puyallup State Fair. He now resides in Chehalis, Washington with his wife and partner, artist Jennie Truitt.
Ian’s love of art, from pencil to sculpture, has led him to offer lessons to both young and old for over 40 years. He currently teaches drawing classes at InGenius!
