Learn to love your sewing machine! Bring your own sewing machine (with its manual), our instructors can assist you in setting it up and learning it’s features. You’ll learn how to choose fabrics and thread, how to prep and create beautiful seams, and how to select patterns. While we have a wide variety of fabric freely available, we recommend you bring your own thread.

Instructor Bio:

Pam Sowers has been sewing since she was six years old. Her mother sneaked her into 4-H a year later, and Pam continued in the club for a decade. She holds a 4-H bronze medal for instruction and demonstration. Since then, she has altered purchased clothing, made her own wardrobe, created home decor, made and sold custom kitchen aprons, and sewn items needed by people of all ages, from burp cloths to cushions. Her favorite sewing hobbies include garment pattern alteration and construction, hand embroidery, making bags and other gifts, upcycling old linens, stash-busting, and buying unusual fabric. Lots and lots of fabric.
