“It is Happiness” Benefit Concert

Capital City Chorus of Olympia’s treble Chorale has been invited by the composer Joan Syzmko to sing in the national debut of her 3-song cycle, “It is Happiness,” based on the work of Pulitzer poet Mary Oliver on May 24, 2026. This Benefit concert event at the United Churches of Olympia will raise funds to support singers who are unable to afford a trip to New York. The Benefit will include poetry readings, concert by the Chorale, book sales, a silent auction and secret wine pull, small bites and beverages — all for the price of only $11 a ticket.
