Ireland meets Appalachia! Bays Family Irish Band with Marshall & Jones

Fiddler and guitarist Randal Bays and his family play traditional Irish music on fiddles, flute, concertina and guitar. it’s homestyle family music, as played throughout Ireland in kitchens and pubs, at dances and festivals. They’ll be joined on this concert by two outstanding musicians from Galax, Virginia, Erynn Marshall and Carl Jones. Erynn and Carl play the tunes and sing the songs of the American South with soul and spirit. This is the first time these two family groups have performed together and it promises to be a very engaging evening of music from the two related but different traditions.
