The free monthly local history talks at Tumwater’s historic Schmidt House (330 Schmidt Place SW, off Custer Way) presents a one hour illustrated talk with genealogist Jewell Dunn at noon on Thursday, November 19, 2015.  You’ll not only learn about the German heritage of the founders of the Olympia Brewing Company, but also learn about other German heritage in our area while getting helpful tips on tracing your own family tree and how you should not only rely on family records when researching, especially to find family origins in foreign countries.

These free brown bag lunch talks are on a first come, first seated basis and doors open at 11:30 am.  Our thanks to the City of Tumwater for their support of these monthly programs which are recorded on TCTV, channel 26, for future airing.  Groups of more than four people are asked to email us or call ahead for seating availability at (360) 786-8117 or history@olytumfoundation.org.   (Look for our new BLOG on our website: www.olytumfoundation.org)
